Frequently Asked Questions
Still unsure? Find answers to commonly asked questions to see if DeepReview is right for you.

DeepReview is specifically made for players who are motivated to improve at League of Legends. Genuinely improving past a wall is always going to take effort, even with the best resources available.

If you're the kind of person willing to put in the work, DeepReview will make every hour of your reviews count.

No. DeepReview uses a custom fork of OBS which is specifically built for recording League of Legends. As a result, we've been able to create a recorder with an extremely low resource cost. The client itself is built from scratch as a native Rust/Tauri app, allowing it to run efficiently in the background as the game is being played.

DeepReview only works with League of Legends. When designing DeepReview, we decided to hyper-focus on creating the best League tool possible rather than splitting focus. This approach has allowed us to create an app with even better performance and go deep on the features that elite-level League players would appreciate.

No. DeepReview is built from scratch as a native Rust/Tauri app. The data comes from Riot's own APIs, not Overwolf's. This is important because it helps DeepReview stay lightweight and have a low performance impact.

No. DeepReview only uses Riot's approved APIs and does not read memory at all. Every feature is compliant with Riot's policies and are fully legal.

There are some advantages to replays that you can't get from a POV recording. The biggest difference would be the ability to pan your camera anywhere on the map.

However, POV reviews have for a long time been the preferred method by coaches and high-elo players since it allows you to view your camera/cursor placement and clicks, giving a much better picture of the exact actions you're taking.
